The Institut für Internationale Kommunikation e.V. (IIK) in Düsseldorf and Berlin is a non-profit organization that was established more than 25 years ago as a spin-off of the Heinrich Heine University. Our focus is on developing participants’ language skills for either academic or professional purposes, continued education for teachers, and intercultural trainings. International rankings confirm it again and again: Düsseldorf is a metropolis with one of the worlds’ highest qualities of life. Our students love Düsseldorf for its many opportunities for leisure, cultural discovery, and educational enrichment (with over 50 post-secondary institutions in the surrounding area), as well as its proximity to other major cities. IIK is conveniently located near the city center, about 10 minutes away from the Königsallee and the core of the Altstadt (old town).
