Learn German in Berlin

Learn German quickly and effectively in preparation for study and work in two attractive locations – in Berlin or in Düsseldorf. The Institut für Internationale Kommunikation e.V. (IIK) in Düsseldorf and Berlin is a non-profit organization that was established more than 25 years ago as a spin-off of the Heinrich Heine University. Our focus is on developing participants’ language skills for either academic or professional purposes, continued education for teachers, and intercultural trainings. Students and professionals are taught by experienced and dedicated native speakers in academic courses. Consecutively coordinated course levels, guide you in the acquisition of official German as a Foreign Language certificates. An attentive and experienced team assists with your arrival in Germany and on request provides assistance with visa and accommodation acquisition. Comprehensive leisure activities guarantee the immersion in German life and the discovery of the German language.

  • Intensive German for academics & professionals: 10 course levels A1 – C1, 100 lessons / 4 weeks, entry possible every month, individual placement test and free consultation
  • University Preparation Program incl. private student advisor, support and advice in finding and applying for a place at university, document checks etc.
  • Summer courses, Tale of 2 Cities: Berlin & Düsseldorf, One-to-One training, tailored programs for groups
  • Exam preparation courses: TestDaF incl. mock exam
