Data transfer during your visit to this website

Your internet browser transmits the following data to our web server automatically, upon accessing our website:

This data is stored separately from any other data you might provide relating to the use of our offer. We are unable to assign this data to a particular individual. We use the access data to improve our internet services, for statistical purposes and also for internal market research. For this purpose, we create an anonymised user profile from the above mentioned data.

We collect, process, and store personal data in connection with the use of the numerous functions that our site offers. Below, we outline what happens to this data:

  • Online forms:
    Data collected via our forms is only used to process the queries that have been completed and transmitted by the sender of the respective forms. By consenting to the processing of data, which you provide by submitting the form, you agree to the transmission and storage of personal data on our server, for the provision of advice and services.
  • Cookies:
    We use so-called ‘cookies’ to expand the range of our internet services and to make them easier for you to use. The use of cookies allows us to access website data stored on your device. You also have the option of disabling cookies on your device through the respective settings in your browser, e.g. by enabling ‘do not track’, by only allowing cookies in individual cases or by activating the automatic deletion of cookies after your browser is closed. The deactivation of cookies might reduce the functionality of our website.

How we use your data

If you ask for our advise regarding topics related to learning German as a foreign language, we collect, process and save your personal data for the sole purpose of handling your enquiries. We do not pass on personal data to third parties without your permission unless it is necessary for the performance of our services, for personal counselling or for the fulfilment of  contractual obligations. If you show an interest in the services of the language institutes that are part of the FaDaF consortium, we will forward your data to suitable institutes so they can counsel you individually. The transfer of data to public authorities that are entitled to information only takes place within the framework of the statutory obligation or judicial decision to provide information.

Data security and communication by email

We ensure the use of technical and organisational measures during the collection, storage and processing of personal data, in order to ensure that third parties cannot access it. We are unable to provide complete data protection when communicating via email. Please keep in mind that email content is transferred in unencrypted form. Therefore, we accept no liability for unauthorised access by third parties that occurs as the result of the transmission of unencrypted emails. We assume that we can also reply to your emails in unencrypted form. Please indicate in your email if you do not wish to receive a reply via this method.  We recommend the use of postal services for transmitting sensitive data.

Your rights according to the EU GDPR

According to Section 15, as a user of our internet service, you are entitled to receive information about any of your personal data that is stored, free of charge and without provision of reasons. According to Section 20, you also have the right to request your personal data from us in a directly transmittable (digital) format. According to Section 17, you are entitled to have your collected data blocked, corrected, or deleted by us. Furthermore, Section 21 provides you with the right to revoke any given declaration of consent without giving reasons. The revocation is free and can be sent to FaDaF via regular post, email, or fax. We would also like to point out your right to lodge a complaint with the responsible regulatory authorities, according to Section 77.
